Shelter Policies
All complaints must be filed either through the Warren Police Department or the Warren Animal Shelter. The Warren Animal Shelter impounds stray dogs and sick or injured cats ONLY. Persons wishing to surrender an animal must contact a private humane agency (ie: RISPCA, Providence Animal Rescue League, Potter League).
Volunteers
The Warren Animal Shelter has a very small but dedicated paid staff that oversees the day-to-day operations, business, and maintenance of our facilities. We rely heavily on the generosity of volunteers, who give us their time and skills to help us provide the best possible care for the animals that are entrusted to us. The Warren Animal Shelter does more than provide a meal and shelter for a couple hundred animals each year. We are a vital link to the community and serve the people.
Shelter Wish List
Cleaning Supplies: newspaper, dish detergent, dish sponges, bleach, laundry detergent, paper towels
Office Supplies: printer paper, AA and 9V batteries, pens and pencils
Animal Care Supplies: canned cat and kitten food, dog biscuits, blankets, towels, toys, cat litter (clay or scoopable), ferret treats
Dog Licenses
All dogs in Warren must be licensed. License forms can be downloaded and brought to the Town Clerk's Office on the first floor of Town Hall.
