INVITATION TO BID
Water Street Sewer and Streetscape (Construction
Only)
 
 

Sealed bids for the Water Street Infrastructure Improvements will be received at the Town Hall, Town of Warren, 514 Main Street, Warren, RI 02885 until 11:00 A.M., July 1, 2011 at which time the sealed bids will be publicly opened and read.  Bids received after the time set for the opening will be rejected and remain unopened.  

The Contact Documents for bidders may be obtained at a cost of twenty five dollars ($25) per set, payable by cash or check.  Contract Documents may be obtained in person from the Office of the Town Clerk, Town of Warren, 514 Main Street, Warren, RI on weekdays from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.  Checks shall be made payable to the Town of Warren.  This payment will not be refundable. 
 A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 10:00 A.M. on June 21, 2011 at the Burr’s Hill Park Parking Lot on Water Street in Warren, RI. Weather permitting, a site walkover will be conducted immediately following the conference to review the Work and address questions. 
 Bidder is to submit bid on the required forms and in the manner requested.  Bids transmitted by facsimile will not be accepted. 

BID SECURITY IN THE FORM OF A CERTIFED CHECK OR BOND IN THE AMOUNT OF 10% OF SUCH BID IS REQUIRED.

 
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond (AIA Document A311), each in the amount of 100% of the contract price.

Bidder shall meet the established goal of not less than 10% of the contract bid price be performed by a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE). 

 
The right is reserved to reject any or all, or any part of any or all, bids when such action is deemed in the best interest of the Town.  The Town reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.  All bids shall remain open for sixty (60) days after the date of bid opening.  
 
All bids received must be in a sealed envelope.  Each envelope is to be marked on the front with bid number and bidder’s name.
