The Metacom Avenue Corridor Plan will utilize flexible zoning alternatives, traffic improvements, and site/building design guidelines to improve travel and safety, while also creating a more attractive and coherent sense of place along the corridor. The Metacom Avenue Corridor Plan will address Warren’s distinct and specific planning issues, including:
Traffic issues that deter safe walking and biking,
Segregation of neighborhoods due to existing traffic patterns,
Site building designs that do not integrate with adjacent residential uses,
Site designs that do not benefit the environment, and
Streetscape issues that lack clarity.
