Warren Tax-Free Arts District
Warren has one of Rhode Island's Tax-Free Arts Districts, which provide incentives to artists to live and work within the district. Sales from artwork within the district are EXEMPT from sales tax. Also, any income received from the sale of art work in the district is exempt from state personal income tax. Finally, gallery spaces within the district that sell original, one of a kind works of art are exempt from state sales tax, whether or not the art was created in the district.
