Warren's working waterfront is one of the oldest in New England. With over 16 miles of shoreline, marine-based industries and recreation play a key role in Warren's history and present. The Town manages the shoreline and the activites there through its Harbormaster and the Harbor Management Commission. Together with the Warren community, they developed the Harbor Management Plan, which defines the allowed uses of Warren's waterfront areas.
Town Beach Town Beach, located at the southern end of Water Street on the Warren River, represents Warren's historic recreational site for playing, picknicking and enjoying the view of Barrington and the Providence River (Narragansett Bay).
Public Rights of Way The Harbor Commission is working to define public access points to the waterfront through signage and mapping. Resident should find these points clearly marked.
