Road Construction Sign

On Thursday, August 22, Lynch Construction (working for National Grid) will be repaving a section of Market Street / Route 136 between the area of Lucky Bait and Schoolhouse Road.  We anticipate that traffic will be difficult and encourage the use of alternate routes if possible.

Water Street Update

The good weather means that it is time to get some roads paved.  Below is the schedule of work.  In summary, work is scheduled for July 11-24 and the roads to be completed are Beth, Ridgeway, Libby, Connolly and Palmer.

Additional roads are being paved by National Grid, but the scheduled has not yet been determined.

The east end of Franklin Street and the section of Water Street between Washington and the Wastewater Treatment Plant will receive a top coat of asphalt when the sidewalk work in the area is complete.  (Franklin St is getting some minor work to correct a stormwater issue and Water St is getting new sidewalks on the west side, south of Washington.)
