Warren Parks and Recreation Job Application

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Lifeguards will maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the water and at the park.  Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.

Lifeguards will:

  • be NON-SURF, CPR/First Aid certified
  • workday hours weekdays 8:30 am – 4 PM & weekend 9 am – 5 PM
  • participate in a 2-day training program
  • work weekends starting Memorial Day Weekend (May 23 – June 21) work daily (June 25 – September 6)
  • hourly rate $14

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Camp counselors will provide a safe, supervised, fun, respectable, clean environment during program time, meals, and field trips.  Supervisors will report to the assistant director & the director.  
Supervisors will:

  • be certified in CPR/1st Aid – if not certified, training will be provided
  • participate in a 2-day training program
  • workday hours (8:30 am – 3 PM) Monday - Friday – Extended 7-9 am/3-5 PM
  • work 8.5 weeks (Thursday June 25 – Friday August 14)
  • hourly rate $10.50

 Positions:  arts & crafts, gymnastics, tennis, preschool, traditional camp supervisor, wrestling

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach youth and/or adult tennis lessons in an outdoor recreation setting. Communicate effectively with participants, parents and other staff.

Instructors will:

  • Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Tennis experience required. 
  • Must be able to provide excellent instruction and customer service to participants, parents and public.
  • Be certified in CPR/1st Aid
  • Weekday evenings – 4 hours a week
  • 6-week Spring program
  • Hourly rate $25
